The 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, Vardhamana Mahavira was the last of the series of 24th Tirthankara in Jainism Dharma. The religion Jainism is basically focusing on the teachings and essence of the Bhagwan Mahavira.

The texts offering the teachings of Mahavira are known as the Agamas and are the canonical writing - the scriptures - of Svetambara Jainism. Mahavira's disciples collected his words into sutras or texts and memorized them to pass on to potential age groups. In Jainism, we have the idea of 'Tirthankaras'. We suppose in 24 Tirthankaras and adore them. We love other gods too but Tirthankaras are real gods for us.
